Here is some information about Dehlia: Dehlia grew up riding and showing in the Hunter / Jumper world where she rode in the ponies, equitation, and jumper rings. Her riding shifted over to the eventing world when she became a working student for Olympian Becky Holder while in high school. Although eventing was her main focus, while in college she was a member of Kansas State Equestrian Team (2001-2005) where she rode for both the English and Western teams. While riding for KSU she qualified for the IHSA Nationals in 2004 & 2005, Zone and Regional Championships in 2002-2005, NCAA Championships 2002-2005, and was named the English Team Captain in 2005. Upon graduating college she went out East and was a working student while she evented her homebred ‘Whispered Notion’ aka ‘Beau’ through the Intermediate level in Eventing. Dehlia is now an active Board member for the Kansas Hunter Jumper Association and the Kansas Horse Council, as well a member of the United States Equestrian Federation and the United States Eventing Association. Dehlia’s main areas of teaching are in Eventing, Dressage, Hunter Over Fences & Equitation Over Fences. She welcomes all levels of riders from beginners to advanced. Several students have approached me about having Liz Johnson out to do a Biomechanics and Centered Riding clinic with individual lessons. If I can get enough of a response Liz has agreed to do just that! I would like to know who all would be interested and if you have a budget limit on how much you would spend to be in the clinic please let me know!
Team BFE had quite a presence at the 2014 Southern Equine Expo - we had 6 horses in 15 classes! We were able to ride under some amazing clinicians like Michael Tokaruk, Liz Johnson, and Tami Crawford! Chris made his first off property debut and acted like he had done it a million times before. Jeffrey and Annie were in their fist clinic ever - and only their second time in a show/clinic setting together! Pocket found another fan club as usual. All the clinicians LOVED Abe and he and Shelby got worked! Erin and Mac did so well off property I can't wait to see how they do at the next show! A lot of new exercises, ideas and concepts were brought up and helped all of us. Hopefully we get to do it again next year!
Congratulations to Shelley Fugitt - She and Vicki Vale were Middle Tennessee Arabian Horse Association Year End Sport Horse Champion! Way to go! Two year end championships in one year!
