Chris and Shadow made their first outing to an "A" rated Jumper Show. We attended the Brownland Nashville Country Show May 25-27 and entered the m 0.85 Jumper division. Both horses had a LOT of growing up to do and they both ended the show with strong "Yes Mom!" Chris and I clicked extremely well on course like I haven't felt on a horse in years! Shadow and Martha worked through some real anxiety about the big show atmosphere but Martha was able to figure out how to successfully navigate a course by the end and stepped up to what Shadow needed her to do! Chris and I placed eighth in one of our classes on Thursday. All in all a great start to the big shows for both horses and we can't wait to go do more!

BFE had another successful horse show! This weekend we attended the Rutherford County 4H show! Syd took Coconut in Showmanship (2nd) and Halter (4th) as well as in hand trail (wasn't pinned when we left), Logan in Hunter Under Saddle (2nd) as well as Hunt Seat Eq (3rd) and Egg and Spoon (4th). She also showed Rooster over fences for the first time! This was his second show over fences and first show over fences with Syd! In W/T Hunter Under Saddle they placed second and they placed third in Green/Novice Crossrails! Way to go!
Bridget took both Max and Smoke. Max won the 2' Hunter Hack, was second in 2' Hunter Over Fences, second in Senior Trail, second in Senior Equitation, fourth in Hunter Under Saddle, and fourth in Showmanship. All these wonderful placings earned them High Point Hunter for the show! Smoke placed fourth in Hunter over Crossrails, and second in in-hand Trail! What an awesome way to start 4H! BFE had one busy day at the Thoroughbred Horse Show at the Kentucky Horse Park yesterday!
Rooster was an all around star! He placed third in all the Crossrail Hunter Classes with Martha then went on to win the turtle class (he was so slow the judge couldn't stop laughing!!!) with Gretchen and place fifth (of 9) in Intro B with Gretchen! Mac and Syd had their first show together and had a lot of fun placing fifth (of 9) in Intro A! Sandman got to the horse park for experience in preparation for the TB Makeover in October. He was much more consistant than at Walnut Trace placing third in Intro A, Sixth in Intro B and fourth in TOC (Intro C)! He also placed third in Green OTTB. Can't wait to keep the progress going! Shadow ROCKED jumpers! He and Martha WON both of their Starter Jumper Classes!!!!! They also placed sixth in OTTB in hand. They earned Starter Jumper Champion as well as Young Jumper TIPs Champion! Chris was a perfect gentleman in his Jumper classes - no peeking and very rideable! He placed second and third in his classes! |
