Thank you to everyone who came out today! We had a hugely successful Barn Day today at BFE!! We got a 20' trailer load of footing unloaded, spread and mixed in the indoor, moved all the tools and equipment out of the new hay storage and all the hay moved in, a new set of wing standards built and primed, schooling standards repainted, jumps from the indoor cleaned off, mounting block painted, Chris' stall wall repaired and lots of cobwebs knocked down!
We had a fun day at the Central Tennessee Dressage Association show at Walnut Trace yesterday with some riders putting in their best rides of the season! We started of with Megan putting in the calmest rides she has put in yet! She actually had to kick Rex to keep him going her nerves were under control so well! She got two fourth places in her Intro A and Intro B tests! Shelley took her new gelding Cash to his first off property show and he was a champ! Stood like a champ and was cool calm and collected earning a first place in Greenie Weenie and fifth in Intro A. I wound up riding Tanner in her two Western Dressage tests getting two first places and enjoying wearing the royal blue bling! It was fun! Then Debbie and Mocha had two very confident and rides that looked like they were having fun earning two second places in their Walking Horse Intro A and B tests! Gretchen took Rex to her first show - probably the calmest rider I have seen at their first show - also having to kick Rex earning a first place in her Greenie Weenie Division! Shelley and Vicki had their calmest and most relaxed Training Level tests of the season - lots of searching for the bit and all around gorgeous rides earning a third and two second places. Chris and I had our first tense show - but still very pleased with how he did considering where he is in his training - lots of seeking the bit and stretching down getting us three second places.
