Making an overdue post now - The update on how the Tennessean and Tennessean Express show went!
This was Shelley and Vicki Vale's first non-breed rated show! They put in four SOLID tests of which they should be very proud! They placed second on Training Level Test 1, 5th on First Level Test 1, 3rd on First Level Test 1, and 5th on First Level Test 2. The scores she earned qualify her for Arabian Regional Dressage Competition at First Level! Congrats!

Brownland Nashville Country

Chris and Shadow made their first outing to an "A" rated Jumper Show. We attended the Brownland Nashville Country Show May 25-27 and entered the m 0.85 Jumper division. Both horses had a LOT of growing up to do and they both ended the show with strong "Yes Mom!" Chris and I clicked extremely well on course like I haven't felt on a horse in years! Shadow and Martha worked through some real anxiety about the big show atmosphere but Martha was able to figure out how to successfully navigate a course by the end and stepped up to what Shadow needed her to do! Chris and I placed eighth in one of our classes on Thursday. All in all a great start to the big shows for both horses and we can't wait to go do more!

BFE had another successful horse show! This weekend we attended the Rutherford County 4H show! Syd took Coconut in Showmanship (2nd) and Halter (4th) as well as in hand trail (wasn't pinned when we left), Logan in Hunter Under Saddle (2nd) as well as Hunt Seat Eq (3rd) and Egg and Spoon (4th). She also showed Rooster over fences for the first time! This was his second show over fences and first show over fences with Syd! In W/T Hunter Under Saddle they placed second and they placed third in Green/Novice Crossrails! Way to go!
Bridget took both Max and Smoke. Max won the 2' Hunter Hack, was second in 2' Hunter Over Fences, second in Senior Trail, second in Senior Equitation, fourth in Hunter Under Saddle, and fourth in Showmanship. All these wonderful placings earned them High Point Hunter for the show! Smoke placed fourth in Hunter over Crossrails, and second in in-hand Trail! What an awesome way to start 4H!

BFE had one busy day at the Thoroughbred Horse Show at the Kentucky Horse Park yesterday!
Rooster was an all around star! He placed third in all the Crossrail Hunter Classes with Martha then went on to win the turtle class (he was so slow the judge couldn't stop laughing!!!) with Gretchen and place fifth (of 9) in Intro B with Gretchen!
Mac and Syd had their first show together and had a lot of fun placing fifth (of 9) in Intro A!
Sandman got to the horse park for experience in preparation for the TB Makeover in October. He was much more consistant than at Walnut Trace placing third in Intro A, Sixth in Intro B and fourth in TOC (Intro C)! He also placed third in Green OTTB. Can't wait to keep the progress going!
Shadow ROCKED jumpers! He and Martha WON both of their Starter Jumper Classes!!!!! They also placed sixth in OTTB in hand. They earned Starter Jumper Champion as well as Young Jumper TIPs Champion!
Chris was a perfect gentleman in his Jumper classes - no peeking and very rideable! He placed second and third in his classes!

April 2 CTDA Schooling Show at Walnut Trace

4/3/2016

BFE had a wonderful day at the CTDA Schooling Show at Walnut Trace yesterday!
Addy (U13) had a major nerve control break through! She was able to keep them under control and improve her Greenie Weenie score a LOT! She got a 64.688 and placed first, her first blue ribbon! She then went on to trot for the first time at a show and got a 62.813 (5th place) on Intro A and a 62.5 (6th place) on Intro B! I am extremely pleased with Addy and her progress!
Lauren (U13) and Barbie also trotted for the first time at a show! Amazing scores of 70.938 (2nd place) on Intro A and 64.375 (5th place) on Intro B. That wonderful Intro A score earns her a spot in the CTDA 70% club! Way to go!
Bonnie (AA) brought Hocus Pocus out Intro level to break the ice of the new show season! They placed first in Intro A with a 68.750, second in Intro B with a 70.000 and second in Intro C with a 66.250! Bonnie is also now a member of the 70% club! Yay!
Adrienne (AA) and Trophy's Royal Image also had massive improvement from their last show last year and Image was a much calmer well behaved gentleman. They placed second in Intro A with a 68.125, first in Intro B with a 71.250 and first in Intro C with a 69.500! Adrienne is also a part of the 70% Club now!!
Syd (JR) took Rooster out to the show to help him build confidence and trust in her before she takes him to 4H. They pulled out an amazing 71 on Intro A placing first! They earned a 61 on Intro B and were just amazing together. What a way to start their shows as a team!
Bridgette (JR) took Smoke to his third show, and the wind definitely had him on edge. She rode him extremely well earning a 64.063 (3rd place) on Intro A, a 61.875 (6th place) on Intro B and a 58.75 on Intro C! He seems to have gotten over his fear of the start bell! Progress!
I took Sandman out to his first show! He was amazing on the ground but the wind had him on edge as well! It was a real team effort to get ready and Bonnie led us down to the ring (Thank you!) We held it together for a 56 on Intro A and a 54 on Intro B. We had to have support boots on (per vet recommendation from a kick he got a couple weeks ago) so we were unable to "compete" but Sandman had a wonderful first show experience! Again - thank you so much for all your help Nate, Mary, Syd, Adrienne and Bonnie!
Syd (JR) then took Logan out Training Level. They made great improvements on bend and connection over last season earning first in both of their test with scores of 65 and 64!
It was a long and great day for BFE and I am proud of all the accomplishments that were made! We now have Lauren, Syd, Bonnie and Adrienne on the 70% club and a wonderful group of students who were there to support and help not only the team but step up and help the show when they needed help!
